After enjoying some of the fun and enagaging in some light chatter with one another, the party began to head in for the night. Or at least that was their plan, until they found Calcyrx and Meepo effectively crashing the party and frightening the civilians. That was not their intention, though; the dragon simply wanted to partake as well.
The group confronted them, thanking them for their help in the defense of Oakhurst, where Calcyrx rained her icy breath on the blights from above. Myev also talked about their deal with the kobold queen, to which Calcyrx said that she will return to her simply to state that she has no intention of being subjugated again. The party took this as fullfulling their end of the bargain and left it at that.
It was also at they point that they realized their time frame for their misson was coming to an end that night. So they had to rest up and make haste back to their guild.
They rested at the Old Board Inn one last time, but this time Glacian talked to the innkeeper, Garon, after everyone else went to bed and asked him if his brother, Fracture Icebreaker, had come by before. Garon said he had no memormy of such a person. Glacian graciously, but solemnly retired to bed as well.
They following morning, they witnessed a heartfelt goodbye between Talgen, Sharwyn, and their mother. She had outfitted a couple karts with wheel them back to the guild. And so, they left Oakhurst behind, onward to a new adventure.
It wouldn't be long before a new adventure, seemingly, found them. On the road back to the guild, they came across three travelers, two half-elves and a cloaked individual all on horseback. The one in front, a bard named Erra Nuvoco, was colorful and sprightly in his words, and said he was looking for Sir Braford. They wanted to take him back to the region of Xhorhas, which was actively at war with the empire, which they were currenly in.
They refused to let him go, not trusting that they had good intentions. Erra de-escalated any brewing tentions and said they would leave to avoid attracted unwanted attention within the empire's borders, but promised that they would "continue this pleasant conversation another time." It was after that point that Sir Braford revealed he betrayed Xhorhas during his time as a knight in order to avoid unnecessary bloodshed, and thus made a very powerful and persistent enemy. He originally only took up work at Proteus to shield himself from Xhorhasian entanglements.
The party all agreed to help Sir Braford shoulder this burden, and assured that they would remain a team no matter where their paths took them. Before long, though, they made it back to Proteus.
The party reported their success to the Proprietor, a human named Gerrick, and earned a repreive from their duties as acknowledgement of making the world better than they found it. They closed out the session considering what they'd like to do with their time off.
Erra Nuvoco, a charasmatic and potentially dangerous bard of Xhoras.
Aramis, a gruff and powerful half-elf warrior from Xhorhas.
Gerrick, Proteus' head honcho. He is well liked by the guild members, and known for his carefree sense of humor and the familial bonds he shares with his guild members.
