Betrayed!

Our heroed unfortunately found themselves betrayed by Darrus, the young drow who claimed he was looking for a better life on the surface. He led the party of surfacers into an ambush aong with several other drwo elves.
The teams battled against one another on the bridge, trading blows and the like until a familiar phenomenon occured: the same eerie mist that appear when they destroyed the Gulthias Tree materialized at the far end of the bridge. However, this time, the mist was not so docile. A face seemed to apparate from within the mist, and that face seemed to be able to intantly consume the soul of its victim. In this case, the victim was one of the Drow. 
After the creature appeared, the remaining Drow began to abandon their plan and flee the scene. Myev and Berov attempted to hold off the creature as long as they could, but they found that their abilities had little to no effect on it. After enough time, Myev and Berov, along with the rest of the party, decided to turn tail and run through the Underdark with that creature on hot pursuit.

The Path to Oblivion CAST: Berov - Loxodon Cleric Mordai Scropen - Tiefling Sorcerer Glacian Icebreaker - Dragonborn Fighter Myev the Honourable - Half-orc Paladin NPCs: Sir Braford - Human Paladin Sharwyn Hucrele - Human Wizard Talgen Hucrele - Human Fighter Erky Timbers - Gnome Cleric The party picked up this session with receiving some intel from an Oakhurst scout that Mr. Misty and a small remaining troop of twig blights were camping in a nearby location. Upon visiting Felosial’s office, they found a familiar Drow, Allas, one of the folks who ambushed the group during Darrus’ trap in the Underdark. He theorized that Mr. Misty was weakened or otherwise disinclined to fight in the light. Using that information, you formulated a plan to bring the fight directly to him. Menzoberranzan, Home of the Drow CAST: Berov - Loxodon Cleric Mordai Scropen - Tiefling Sorcerer Glacian Icebreaker - Dragonborn Fighter Myev the Honourable - Half-orc Paladin NPCs: Sir Braford - Human Paladin Sharwyn Hucrele - Human Wizard After many more hours of travel, the party finally came across a large gate guarded by a mechanical jade spider. They destroyed the spider and crossed the gate, but were intercepted my more Drow elves. These Drow claimed that they had been trailing the team of surfacers for some time and was collecting information on them. The leader of this group, a woman named Ishtar, offered something of a deal between them, but first said that she will escort them to Menzoberranzan, the Drow city and the party's goal. Without much of a choice, they decided to follow Ishtar and her team.
